Fast food prices in Thailand

Street food is quite cheap and actually a very popular way of eating among the locals. There are numerous foot stalls where they sell plates of food.

Usually a meal of rice or noodles is between 30 and 40 thai bahts. If you go for the more western type cuisine, you will pay much more compared to the other option, and you may expect to give about 150 - 200 bahts for a Combo meal at McDonalds. A Big Mac will cost about 60 bahts and a big sandwich in Subway usually runs for about 180 bahts.

The cheapest fast food in Thailand excluding the main popular chains is the food you can directly buy at the street. For instance, in Bangkok you will see all the streets covered with strange and colorful meals like the baked eggs in a shell, sparrows baked on a stick, fried bananas and many others. Some of them are very spicy, you should always ask before you buy. Most of the things are priced between 20 and 40 bahts which is really very cheap. You can also try some of the fresh local fruits - papaya, mango, dragonfruit, durian. They are sold per piece for about 10-15 bahts each.
