Prices in Germany
Germany is a relatively expensive country for travellers when compared to other countries in the world. This is understandable as it occupies a central position in Western Europe, a region that is relatively expensive overall. Within Western Europe, Germany’s prices are at about the same level as in other countries, and are similar to prices in the Netherlands, Austria, and Italy. In terms of various types of expenditures, the cost of entertainment and shopping is somewhat higher than the Western European average whereas hotels and restaurants are priced at average levels. Berlin is one of the more affordable major European cities for visitors. Hotels are abundant and reasonable deals are normally easy to find, though in summer it’s best to book in advance if you can.
